dc.description"Las áreas naturales protegidas resguardan gran biodiversidad: sin embargo, están sujetas a factores bióticos y abióticos que causan su pérdida y deterioro. Las Reservas de la Biósfera, los Parques Nacionales, las Áreas de Protección de Flora y Fauna, y el Área de Protección de Recursos Naturales ubicadas en la región Centro y Eje Neovolcánico Transversal de México; merecen especial atención ya que esta se concentra la mayor población del país y; por lo que la presión social que se ejerce en el uso y aprovechamiento de los recursos es elevada. Con la finalidad de tener un panorama general de la problemática existente y de sugerir algunas recomendaciones al respecto, en el presente capítulo se exhibe información de las áreas naturales de esta zona y, de los factores que contribuyen a su degradación. La contaminación del suelo y agua, y el cambio de uso de suelo son con mayor frecuencia, los principales componentes que alteran el equilibrio ecológico. La magnitud del impacto ambiental que estos factores pueden ocasionar se desconoce, por lo que se requieren impulsar diferentes programas de investigación, política gubernamental y social para la recategorización, administración y manejo de los ecosistemas."
dc.description"Protected natural areas safeguard high biodiversity. However, they are subject to biotic and abiotic factors causing loss and decline. The Biosphere Reserves, National Parks Protection Areas Wildlife and Protected Area Natural Resources located in the center and Neovolcánico Transverse of Mexico area, deserve special attention because in them the population is concentrated in the country, so the social pressure exerted on the use and exploitation of resources is high. In order to have an overview of the existing problems and suggest some recommendations in this chapter details the natural areas of this zone is displayed as well as the factors that contribute to its degradation. Contamination of soil and water, and land use change are more often, some of the components that alter the ecological balance. The magnitude of the environmental impact of these factors can cause is unknown, so that different research programs, government and social policy for the reclassification, management and ecosystem management are required."
